Hospital:  St. Luke’s Magic Valley is a 224-bed, not-for-profit, state-of-the-art hospital serving the needs of eight Southern Idaho counties and parts of Northern Nevada.  This is the newest and most advanced hospital in the St. Luke’s Health System.  St. Luke’s is dedicated to moving care forward as they develop new processes and refine the standards to improve health, improve care, and lower costs.  St. Luke’s Health System embraces Shared Governance and has been Magnet recognized four times!  

 

Position: 170+ Beds, 10,000 cases annually both inpatient and outpatient and 160+ FTE’s.   The Director will have oversight of the Operating Rooms, Pre and Post op, Outpatient Surgery Center, Anesthesia Techs, GI and Central Sterile Processing.  Will work closely with the Physicians and staff to facilitate effective communication and to meet high standards of patient care required by the hospital and system.  The Director of Perioperative Services reports to an engaged and progressive VP/CNO.

 

Salary: $130,000-$140,000+ DOE, Excellent Benefits and Relocation Assistance.

 

Requirements:

  • BSN and Master’s, required or in process.
  • Current Idaho Nursing License,
  • 3-5+ years of nursing experience in Surgical Services,
  • 3+ years of nursing leadership experience in Surgical services,
  • Experience working at a Mid-size hospital and within a Health System,
  • LEAN and Six Sigma trained, optimal.
  • Working knowledge of EPIC and safety practices, required

 

Location:  Twin Falls, Idaho is an active  city of 45,000 people that sits at a high-desert elevation of 3,745 feet in South Central Idaho.   This city is in a state of renewal and growth.  Community leaders have successfully attracted several large corporations to the area and have started on a multi-dimensional revitalization project for the downtown. The renewal project has enabled Twin Falls to offer cultural activities, concerts, shopping, and wonderful dining options all within the city limits.

 

With the Snake River Canyon at its north, Nevada to the south and with the distant Sawtooth Mountains, Twin Falls has become a destination vacation location.  The Shoshone Falls, known to many as the “Niagara of the West” is located within Twin Falls.  Twin Falls is recognized as a world-class BASE jumping center due to the popularity of the Perrine Bridge (500 feet to the Snake River).   The area offers a plethora of recreational activities including: golfing, hiking, art galleries, hot springs, fishing, etc.   Also, the city sits only 1.5 hours from Sun Valley – one of the many destination locations in Idaho.
