Adolescent Psychiatrist

 

Location: Colorado

 

The Organization: Growing non-profit provider of Substance and Behavioral health services to the Rocky Mountain region.

 

Organization Details:

  • Clinics and Inpatient Housing with a New Hospital build to be completed in late 2023.
  • Services: Crisis, Substance Abuse and Mental health
  • Services are provided: In-person, Virtual and by Telehealth
  • EMR – Avatar

 

Position description: The In-Patient Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide direct patient care that respects the patient’s unique values and needs by diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders in children and adolescents. This role involves conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy or medication management to help young patients cope with mental health issues. This role includes teaching and training students and residents as well as collaborating with others care givers on the medical and therapy teams. This position collaborates and works closely with the Medical Director.

  • Patients Aged: 12-17 Years
  • Case treated: Depression, Anxiety, ADHA, Trauma, Substance Abuse, eating disorders and Behavioral problems.

 

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time positions

  • Flextime schedule is available.
  • On-call Weekend rotation with all providers including the medical director.

Compensation: $220K-$270k annually DOE

Additionally: Generous Benefit package, retirement plan with employer match, education, license, and certification support.

Position requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited university with additional post-graduate training in psychiatry.
  • 4+ years of experience working in a related field, required.
  • 2+ years of experience in treating and servicing people with substance use and mental health needs preferred.
  • Valid unrestricted Medical License to practice in the State of Colorado.
  • Board certified in Psychiatry or Board Eligible with plans for certification.
  • DEA Certification including a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine, required.
  • Understanding and commitment to Medication Assisted Treatment and harm reduction principles required.
  • Strong understanding of substance use treatment and knowledge of withdrawal management processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion and being able to engage, communicate and interact cooperatively will all backgrounds.
  • Unencumbered Colorado driver’s license.
