Ambulatory Service Line – Executive Director

West Coast

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Ambulatory Service Line – Executive Director to oversee ambulatory operations across a fast-growing regional network. This individual will play a key role in driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and patient access initiatives within a fast-paced, high-performing healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations of ambulatory clinics, ensuring seamless integration of specialty services, operational efficiencies, and strategic partnerships with medical group leaders. They should have a strong background in surgical services and/or women’s health, with a demonstrated ability to implement dyad leadership models and drive service line expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of 30+ ambulatory clinics.
• Collaborate with acute care and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Manage a team of Directors, Program Manager, and support staff.
• Spearhead the development of a flagship medical office expansion.
• Enhance digital transformation efforts, including Epic EMR implementation.
• Reports to and works closely with the VP of Ambulatory Services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (MHA, MBA, MPH).
• 10+ years of recent, consecutive executive-level Surgical and Multi-Specialty Ambulatory oversight experience, required.
• FACHE certification and experience with Lean and Studer principles preferred.
• Proven track record in leading large teams and executing major projects.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $260K – $350K DOE.
• Bonus: 15% target, up to 22.5% max.
