A distinguished full-service community hospital is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide visionary leadership and strategic oversight of the hospital’s financial operations. This pivotal role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive strategic financial plan, as well as annual operating and capital budgets. The CFO will conduct in-depth financial analyses of new programs, acquisitions, and business development opportunities, ensuring robust revenue management and the accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with healthcare industry standards.

 

As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, serving as a visible and hands-on leader. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial future of our hospital and make a lasting impact to the  community.

 

Job Type/ Schedule:

  • Onsite, In-person
  • Full time, Regular work week. Flexibility with hours as needed.

 

Hospital and Department Stats:

  • Critical Access hospital and several outpatient clinics
  • Oversees:  Finance department, Patient Access, Health Information management department and materials management unit.
  • 4 Direct reports
  • EMR – EPIC

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting,
  • Master’s degree in finance or accounting, preferred.
  • Certified public accountant
  • 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience at a medical facility
  • 5-7+ years of relevant financial experience in financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, treasury, audit, tax, and payroll.
  • Knowledge of provider billing practices and understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting required.
  • Critical access hospital experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal with board, key stakeholders, hospital leadership and staff.
