Financial Controller

Rocky Mountain Region

Financially stable, not-for-profit community hospital has a new opening for a Financial Controller.  This position oversees the financial reporting and accounting including timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and proper application of health care industry financial practices.  Maintains responsibility over development and guidance to the team, accuracy of financial statements, and timely recording of internal audits, controls and checks across departments. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer managing the financial operations, budgets, audits, and financial planning.

Type of Work: Full time, Onsite

Hospital Finance Stats:

• Fiscal Year Runs: July 1^st to June 30^th.
• Cash on Hand:  85 days
• Patient Revenue:  75 million
• Finance Department Staff:  Planning Financial Manager, 1-2 Accountants, Accounts Payable Clerk and Accounting Clerk.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in accounting, required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.
• 1 year of GAAP experience, preferred.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience within an acute care facility, required.
