Position Summary:

Join a thriving community hospital and a cohesive Laboratory team as their Director of Laboratory Services. As the director, you will be responsible for the overall lab operations and developing procedures to ensure safety, security, quality, and accuracy of results. Develop and perform test procedures, analyzing requests for tests and equipment, tend to administrative and management matters. Consults with Physicians, and staff to assist with patient care. Appropriately manages the departmental budget and plan for future needs. This position reports to the Senior Director of Ancillary Services.

Laboratory Department Stats:

• August 2023 EMR changing over to Cerner
• 55k+ Laboratory tests annually

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology or related field, required
• Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP Certified, required.
• 2 years of working experience in a clinic laboratory setting,
• Progressive leadership experience at an acute care facility,
• Basic Life Support, certification,
• Able to work the bench, as needed
