Director of Nursing at a Women’s Hospital

This is the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare system in Texas, and has over 52 campuses spread throughout the market! I have placed with this system several times and can tell you about their financial viability, their culture, and their constant aim towards excellent patient care. 

 

This 150+ Magnet campus is the only dedicated women’s hospital in the area and delivers almost 6,000 little ones a year! Their services include maternity, high-risk pregnancy care, and a 63 bed Level 3 NICU. This hospital is a designated Level 4 Maternal Care Center, which means they provide the highest possible care to the most complex cases.

 

This director will have oversight of a 23 bed Labor and Delivery unit, a 63 bed Level 3 NICU, a 50 bed Post Partum unit, 14 bed Antepartum, 5 ORs, and an inpatient unit. Total direct reports will be around 400+. This Director will report up to the Chief Nursing Officer, who is described as a curious, courageous, and compassionate leader who empowers her colleagues to deliver patient centric care.

 

 

Salary: The target compensation for this role is $175,000-$185,000 with a swing on either side based on years of experience and education. This person will also receive a 20% management incentive bonus and relocation assistance as well.

 

Requirements:

  • RN, BSN required. Masters in healthcare related field required.  
  • At least 10 years of acute care hospital women’s services experience. Five years in clinical nurse leadership across the entire service line of women’s and children’s services in a complex healthcare system (level 3 or 4 Maternal Child Designation highly desirable). Director level experience required for this role.
