Director of Quality and Safety

Facility:  Acute Care Hospital

Location:  Oregon

A growing community hospital in a beautiful Northwest setting is seeking a Director of Quality and Safety. This role involves overseeing the hospital-wide quality management program, ensuring timely resolution of complaints and grievances, enhancing patient experience, and implementing risk mitigation and patient safety strategies. Responsibilities include developing and administering performance improvement programs, facilitating committees, and maintaining open communication with stakeholders. The Director will create systems for performance measurement, educate staff on the PI plan, summarize activities quarterly, and coordinate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis teams. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with managers and insurance carriers to resolve complaints, as well as designing and analyzing data from the event management system. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, required.
• Master’s degree or JD strongly preferred.
• 5-7+ years of Quality, Patient Safety and or Risk Management experience in healthcare
• Recent leadership experience in Risk, Quality or Patient Safety, required.
• Risk Management(CPHRM), Quality (CPHQ) and/or Patient Safety (CPPS) certification,
• High level of communication skills both written and verbal with experience analyzing data and translating it to a varied audience.
