Director of Surgical Services

Midwest

We are partnering with a hospital seeking a Director of Surgical Services to lead and enhance perioperative operations. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, improving efficiency, and overseeing key areas, including the Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy, Same-Day Surgery, and Central Sterile Processing. Additionally, the director will focus on strategic leadership, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services, including staffing, patient flow, and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, infection control standards, and best practices.
• Lead and develop a team of surgical professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve processes, policies, and overall service delivery.
• Manage budgets, equipment, and departmental goals to align with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

• BSN required; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in Surgical Services.
