Histotechnologist
Oregon

Join a close-knit Lab of a busy Not-for-Profit community hospital, as part of the Anatomic Pathology team as their newest Histotechnologist.  The Histotechnologist is responsible for preparing microscopic sections from tissue blocks utilizing special stains and immunohistochemistry.  The Histotechnologist will assist the pathologist with grossing all issues and preparation of frozen sections.  Prepares specimens for the pathologist for diagnosis and trains other Histotechnologists as needed. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree, required or transcript from science related academic diploma or transcript.
• 2+ years of experience in a Histology lab
• ASCP Histotechnology certified, preferred at hire or within 12 months of hire date,
