Inpatient Surgical Services Department Manager

Location:  West Coast Region of the United States.

Hospital: This is a Not-for-profit hospital system with a 7 Suite OR in the process of expansion.

Position:  As the Inpatient Surgical Services Department Manager you will Manage and provide operational and nursing leadership oversight, while ensuring the quality of nursing care within preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative areas meets the organizational and regulatory standards. This position works closely with and reports to the Director of Perioperative Services.

Department Stats:

• 50+ Direct reports including 2-3 charge nurse leaders.
• 3000+ Inpatient/4500+ outpatient cases annually.
• 7 OR Suites currently, with expansion plans in the works. 1 DaVinci suite
• Types of cases:  Robotics, Urology, Ortho, General, Spine

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, required.
• Current state RN License, required.
• 1+ years of experience as charge/supervisor/manager in the OR, required.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in Perioperative/Surgical Services, required.
• Basic Life Support healthcare provider (BLS), required.
• Thorough knowledge of the operations of a Perioperative department, strongly preferred.
• Must be able to circulate, depending on staffing needs, required.

Schedule:

• Full time
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Wednesday (variable).
• 1 Weekend Requirements:  Rotating Weekends

Salary: Comp $150K-$230K DOE, Relocation assistance and Generous benefits. Annual bonus potential.
