INTERIM CVICU Pediatric Educator 

Southwest

This assignment will start ASAP. 3 months to start with the opportunity to extend.

Responsibilities of the Nursing Educator will include developing educational curriculum and programs, new hire orientation, current department staff educational programs, updating policy procedures and implementing quality improvement plans. As the department resource, the Nursing Educator must be up to date on best practices, a strong communicator, and cross collaborate with other Nurse Educators, Nurse Managers, Directors, specialists, physicians, and ancillary staff.

Requirements

The Pediatric CVICU Nursing Educator must have previous experience working as a Nurse Educator, Instructor, Clinical Specialist, or Preceptor, hold previous clinical experience in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Unit, along with their active Registered Nurse License (may obtain correct state licensure prior to starting) and BSN (Master’s preferred). We will look at candidates with Adult CVICU experience who have extensive experience in both clinical CVICU and Education roles.
