Interim ER Director

Washington State – Pacific Northwest

Hospital: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated healthcare leader to serve as the Interim Emergency Room (ER) Director, a temporary but vital role responsible for ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a department with over 18,000 visits annually. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Interim ER Director will oversee daily operations, provide strategic and clinical leadership, manage staff performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize patient flow. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence, serve as a mentor to staff, and build strong, effective relationships with physicians.

Interim details: 

• 3 month assignment to start, with potential to extend.
• Trips home per month
• Temporary housing and
• Rental car (if needed).

Requirements:

• BSN,
• Current State RN license,
• 5-7+ years of clinical and progressive leadership experience in Emergency Services,
• Emergency Nurse Certification (CEN),
• Current BLS and ACLS, required.
