This Magnet 300+ bed teaching hospital has a new 40,000-square-foot, $71 million emergency department expansion! Their busy, growing hospital features a newly renovated intensive care unit and a Level III Advanced Trauma Center. This is a Grade A Hospital from Leapfrog and a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by the Joint Commission.

The Magnet Program Director will be responsible for assisting the CNO in the oversight, direction, and management of the Magnet Journey for the hospital. They will be accountable for the implementation of the nursing strategic plan initiatives related to Magnet Recognition and ensure that the organization reflects the five components of Magnet. This Director will assume responsibility for the coordination of the ANCC Magnet application, designation, and re-designation process.

The CNO is a compassionate servant leader who wants to find someone equally driven to maintain excellence in the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a history of being on the Magnet Journey and will have gone through a Magnet re-designation in the past.

Requirements: 

• RN required, Bachelors required, Master’s Degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field required.
• At least five years or more experience of progressive nursing leadership and should have experience with a previous Magnet Journey.
• Director level experience strongly preferred.
