Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operating Room Nurse Educator to join a dynamic team. As an Operating Room Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff, including new graduates and those new to the OR. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our perioperative team and the overall quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the perioperative team to facilitate the AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) program.
• Provide education and training to new graduates and novice OR nurses.
• Ensure adherence to the highest quality standards and introduce new best practices based on policy review and research findings.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient outcomes through quality projects.
• Maintain a presence in the OR and conduct regular rounds to provide guidance and support.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including robotics, to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications:

MSN required.

CNIOR (Certified Nurse in the Operating Room) certification required.

5+ years of clinical experience

Experience within an Educator role

Familiarity with quality improvement projects and outcomes.
