Outpatient Advance Practice Provider – Psychiatric
Location: Rocky Mountain region.
The Organization: Growing non-profit provider of Substance and Behavioral health services to the Rocky Mountain region.
Organization Details:
- Clinics and Inpatient Housing with a New “60 Bed” Hospital build.
- Services: Crisis, Substance Abuse and Mental health
- Services are provided: In-person, Virtual and by Telehealth
- EMR – Avatar
Position description: The Psychiatric Advance Practice Provider (APP) will evaluate and treat patients at an outpatient community mental health center. The primary focus of this position will be substance use and physical health. Additionally, the Psychiatric APP will participate as the medical team representative in a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services; evaluate patients for substance use and medical disorders, determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patients. The Psychiatric APP will need to meet/maintain documentation standards and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care. This position reports to the team oriented, visible, hands-on Medical Director.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week in person.
- Compensation: $120k-140k annually DOE.
- Additionally: Generous Benefit package, retirement plan with employer match, and education, license, and certification support.
Position requirements:
- Possesses an Advanced Practice Nursing degree or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited university, required.
- Must have a DEA certification required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Registered Nurse License and valid State Nurse Practitioner License, required.
- 2+ years of experience treating patients in a behavioral healthcare setting, including substance abuse and behavioral health cases.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- Understanding and commitment of medication assisted treatment and harm reduction principles, required.
- Recent experience treating substance abuse patients and knowledge about withdrawal management, preferred.
- Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious, and economic status required.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion and being able to engage, communicate and interact cooperatively will all backgrounds, required
