Primary Care – Physician Practice Management Roles!
Join a large, growing physician group leading multiple primary practice locations and a team of dedicated individuals wired to serve their community in providing the best quality patient experience and care. As a critical part of the physician group management team you will be responsible for oversight of the administrative, clinical, and operational functions of the practice sites under your purview, ensuring the delivery of high quality health care in a manner that is both cost efficient and meets all the regulatory requirements.
Typical accountabilities include:
- Establishing work schedules, practice assignments for staff, recruitment, staff development, employee relations, performance appraisals and monitoring time/attendance.
- Being celebrated and celebrating your colleagues!
- Collaborate one-on-one with practice providers and administrative staff to promote the overall performance of the offices by managing cost, quality and delivery of healthcare services.
- Manage information and financial data to analyze and measure performance. Develop and implement appropriate action plans to enhance practice performance. Perform productivity analysis for providers and staff.
- Having fun with what you do!
- Attends meetings, develops week/monthly/yearly reports, composes meeting minutes, and delivers presentations/reports to physicians, staff and other departments. Maintains open communication lines with physicians, providers and staff.
- Assists with roll out and stabilizing the Epic EMR to the practices.
- Oversees quality initiatives for practices as defined by CMS and compliance as defined by Joint Commission.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in health-related or business field required (or equivalent of 8 years in physician practice management)
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
- 6 years’ experience in a medically related field with a minimum of three years’ experience managing a medically related organization or business unit;
- Strong AR or billing and collection experience and EMR.
- Budgeting
- Provider enrollment experience
- New practice ramp up
- Good sense of humor and service disposition
- Project management
- Demonstrated ability in achieving excellent operating results
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point; Visio; EMR, medical billing software
- Excellent customer service skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with resource management activities, quality measures and meaningful use as defined by CMS
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
