Quality Improvement Nurse Trainer (Managed Care)

California

Position:

A progressive and growing Healthcare organization looking for a QI Nurse Trainer. The QI Nurse Trainer will design and present trainings to the Quality department staff that meet the regulatory requirements of the Federal and State as well as those set forth by the organizations. Additionally the QI Nurse Trainer will actively participates in QI program rollouts, enhancements, and upgrades, in alignment with all impacted departments, to assure consistent application in clinical departments. The QI Nurse Trainer will participates in the identification and analysis of clinical workflows, recommends solutions, and collaborates in the implementation of workflow efficiency initiatives.  As needed will develop of reports to support monitoring of business results.  The QI Nurse Trainer works closely with and Reports to the Associate Chief Medical Officer.

Position Details:

• Hybrid work environment: Remote/ office
• Monday-Friday work schedule
• Who is training for: New QI nurses, appeals and grievance nurses.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing,
• Unrestricted California Registered Nurse license, required.
• 3+ years clinical experience as a nurse in a managed care (health plan) or in an acute care setting, required
• 2+ years of recent leadership experience working in managed care (health plan) or in a healthcare setting, required.
• Clinical Administrative experience with Medi-Cal and/or Medicare populations, required.
• Clinical Administrative experience in a quality setting in managed care (health plan), required.
• Proven experience in training staff effectively, strongly preferred.
• Experience in a Healthcare environment dealing with business process improvement and managing the auditing, preferred.
