Chief Financial Officer

A “Full Service” community hospital is searching for their next Chief Financial Officer, overall leadership of the hospital’s financial picture. Major responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer will include developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions, and business development; revenue management; preparation of the financial statements, in accordance with the health care industry.  This position works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and will be a visible hands-on leader.  

Job Type/ Schedule:

• Onsite, In-person
• Full time, Regular work week. Flexibility with hours as needed.

Hospital and Department Stats:

• Critical Access hospital and several outpatient clinics
• Oversees:  Finance department, Patient Access, Health Information management department and materials management unit.
• 4 Direct reports
• EMR – EPIC

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting,
• Master’s degree in finance or accounting, preferred.
• Certified public accountant
• 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience at a medical facility
• 5-7+ years of relevant financial experience in financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, treasury, audit, tax, and payroll.
• Knowledge of provider billing practices and understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting required.
• Critical access hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal with board, key stakeholders, hospital leadership and staff.
