The Family Medicine Residency Program will commence it’s fourth year of residents in July.   Work collaboratively in the health system and GME program directors for emergency medicine, internal  medicine, and general surgery.   Other programs are being established, as well.    Our residents develop skills in physician leadership to become the best possible advocates for their patients.  They are able to practice these skills throughout residency as they offer their clinical expertise to the members of the community who need it the most.   Whether it is time caring for our homeless population during the community medicine rotation or serving our elderly veteran population during the geriatric rotation, we know our residents will have a positive impact in the community.     The FMRP is an 8-8-8 program, providing a full scope of experience so that graduates will feel comfortable practicing all aspects of family medicine, including inpatient and outpatient care for all ages, and obstetrics.  

In addition to maintaining high quality outcomes for patients through multiple accredited programs such as Cancer Care, Total Joint, Primary Stroke, IGFS, TAVAR, Cath Lab, Trauma,  etc, our client is one of the top financially stable organizations in the nation and boosts strong financial performance with a “AA” rating and stable outlook.   The system, which includes two hospitals campuses (one state-of-the-art which opened in 2019 and the other doing major expansions), two free-standing EDs, an accomplished and diverse medical staff made up of over 500 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, accredited GME programs in internal medicine, family medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, and more in application process, offers a collaborative culture focused on providing quality patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board certified in Family Medicine and completion of fellowship training appropriate to the clinical specialty.
• 3 years teaching/or administrative experience.
• 5 years post fellowship experience.
• Collaborative, engaging physician leader who enjoys mentoring and inspiring young residents.
• Team player who can help deliver consistency in our residency programs.
• .3-.4 Administrative / .6 – .7 clinical
